Childcare Day 3

Adrian sent her to school today. Maybe she just woke up and was still not very sure what was happening when we asked her to wear her shoes and hat and get into the car. She happily went but according to Adrian she fussed a little as they drove towards the centre. Hahah. Again she was crying and refused to go into the centre. Adrian just carried her in and passed her to the teacher.

Adrian called later and asked if I called the school to check on her. I told him that I think that is not really necessary as she is alright once she goes into the classroom and engages herself in various activities.

As Adrian had an early soccer session today at 6pm, I went off to pick Sabrina up on my own. Sebastian napped late thus I was able to quickly walk to the centre to pick Sabrina. Finally spoke to her teacher, Ms Jo. She told me that she was alright, just crying without tears when Adrian left. She asked if we spoke to her in a different language at home. I told her that I do speak to her in Mandarin but she does not understand. She told me that when she told her to "stop crying. you are alright>", Sabrina replied her saying things that she does not comprehend. I told her that's normal as she did that at home as well. Hahha. What a relief for her I guess.

I also checked with her if she understand what was being told to her in class. Ms Jo feels that she understands alright as she will give her a cuddle when told so and even when she was tld to sit on the mat, she will obediently do it. What a difference as compared to when she is at home. Maybe should send her there more often.

She told me about her lunch (noodles that I had freid in the morning). She said she ate very little, maybe one quarter and then did not want to eat anymore. I think she must have been eating the ingredient like eggs and carrots and refused to eat the rest. Ms Jo said that it was such a waste so she put them back into the container. She also commented that it smelt so nice that the teachers were asking what that was when she went to heat it up in the microwave. Hahaha. It's just that maybe they are so used to seeing kids have packed bread that it's not often to see noodles or rice prepared for the kids.

Anyway Sabrina was already crying when I came into the playground. She must have spotted me just now when i was in the class looking at the clipboard. Her favourite activity was "painting". She painted a rather artistic piece of work that her teacher had put into her schoolbag. Her teacher said that she was a little teary maybe say 10 minutes before I arrived. She stopped after a short while and bade her teacher goodbye and a kiss and off to the class to pack her things.

Finally wallked her home. Guess she must have been tired as she walked very slowly. She kept stopping and dropping her bag. When we finally reached home, she was very hungry and I gave her some popcorn. Checked on Sebastian and found him still sleeping soundly. Asked Sabrina to quickly finish her popcorn and gave her a shower. By the time she was showered and clothed, Sebastian woke up.

Brought them downstairs and heat up the balanced noodles and Sabrina had them for dinner while Sebastian drank his milk. She asked to see Tinkerbell and we watched it till Adrian came back from his soccer session.

Till next week for her dosage of childcare.
