Send Sabrina to the childcare today for her second day. Saw that Sebastian was still deep in sleep so I quickly change Sabrina and got her things ready. I had already prepared freid rice the night before and I just need to put some of it into her lunch box. I decided to let her have some rice as she looks pretty hungry when we went to pick her up last Monday after her class. I only packed bread for her the other time for lunch as I saw that almost every child in the room had bread for lunch when I went to send in the enrolment form. Let's see how she goes today with the rice and the cornflakes and apples and bread.
We walked to the centre together. She was more than happy to help carry my handbag while I carried her sleeping bag and her bag which consists of her lunch box and spare clothes. She was still very glad to name the colour of the cars that passed by us as we walked to the traffic lights. After the traffic lights, at the bus stop outside the centre, she refused to move and insisted that we "let's go". I got to use some Tic tac peppermint to bribe her to move. She did a few more steps and stopped and refused to enter the centre at the entrance. I got to carry her in and went straight to the classroom. Her teacher were just bringing some of her students from another side of the playground and when she saw me and a crying Sabrina, she came forward and carried her and told me it's normal. I know it's normal as I had seen it happening to P1 students. Hahah. But then Sabrina was much younger as compared to the P1 kids. Her teacher said to call later to check on how she was.
I just called and the teacher said that she was just noise and no tears. Usual. But she stopped immediately when they went into the room. Said she had already finished her cornflakes and is now drawing in the room. Decided there and then to increase her childcare says to 2 days as there was vaccancies for Tuesday as well. The teacher even suggested starting her on some painting or colouring in the morning when she reaches so that she will not cry as she noted that Sabrina likes to do those activities.
Will update later when I go and pick her up in the evening.
Updated Aust Time 10.35am
