Up he stands, handsfree

Up and Up and away....Opps.. It's just Sebastian making his first debut on standing up handsfree. I am so proud of our little monster. He was as usual playing with the toys wih his sister. Then Sabrina went on to take out the diapers that we bought on our previous shopping trip and have them lying on the floor. Our good friend was very excited as usual when he sees the diapers and crawled quickly to it and there and then he held onto it as what he did normal and started to let go off his hands on the diaper and before starting to straighten his back and stand up. He did that a few times and when I praised him, he laughed and fell back on his bum. He went on to try standing up again and again and smiling when I praised him. He is definitely faster than Sabrina in that area.

This morning, Sabrina was walking round the house saying " Happy Birthday". I was like "Huh? Whose birthday are you talking about?" She refused to answer me but went on repeating "Happy birthday". Funny little girl.

Went for my 4th driving lesson today. At least the weather looks ok. Just cloudy but no rain or sun. I find that I was able to control the car better this time round. It is as usual when I did the left or right turn, I did not straighten the steering wheel fast enough. Will have to work on that. Did a straight reverse, u-turn at T-junction (forgot what is the actual term). Drove the car to Caserdiline. The houses all look so big and elegant. My intructor had to drop something off at one of the houses there so we drove up. It was only after she had returned that I realised that was the owner of the driving school aka her boss's house. My on my, they are doing really well. It was located on a cul-de-sac, meaning right at the corner . Expensive area.

Careful

I had been warning Sabrina to be careful especially when she decides to perform some acrobatic acts at home. So today as usual, she tried to perform some stunts and I told her "Careful", she repeated "Careful". Not sure whether to be angry with her or to laugh at her. Telling herself to be careful or repeating after me? I am not so sure though.

Helping Mummy to keep the folded clothes

Both the kids are already in lala land and it's not even 9.15pm yet. Well they woke up early from their nap and thus they were really tired after we came back from Woolworths after dinner a while back.

Anyway, Sabrina did a very cute little act today. I washed the laundry as usal this morning and by afternoon after their nap, I would take them in and fold them before putting them back into the cupboards. I left the whole set of folded clothes on my bed upstairs but not in the cabinets. So after we came back from Woolworths, we brought the kids upstairs to be cleaned up before bedtime. While I was cleaning up Sebastian and Adrian was downstairs heating up Sabrina's milk, Sabrina took the set of Sebastian's clothes and went on to open the cupboard and placed his clothes in them. The cute thing was that it was the right set of clothes and the right place. When I told her to put in back on the mattress, she refused and proceeded to keep both Adrian and my clothes. She really learn by watching what we do everyday.

SOLD and FINED

Yup, we sold our Mazda 121 this morning. It was giving this screeching sound when we trun the steering wheel. To save the trouble of servicing and repairing, Adrian decided to sell it off while we can. Partly why we sell the car was that Adrian managed to find another car that he like and will most probably be getting the car on Tuesday. Has been pestering me about getting that car and in the end I told him to go ahead but we have got to sell Mazda first.

So off the car was sent to the dealer and the owner kindly sent Adrian back since his shop was very near to our place. But alas, Adrian got a fine as he took off his seat belt at the junction just before turning into our place. A police officer who was driving a normal Holden came forward and fine him $300 when Adrian stepped out of the car at our doorstep. Haiz....gone is $300 and 3 points. I think right now he is left with only 2 more points. Hopefully he can keep that points.

First Driving lesson

Finally booked my first ever driving lesson with Affordable Driving School. I was supposed to have my first lesson on last Friday (1 May) but the instructor called to inform me that 2 of the instructors were on leave thus she could not meet me for my first lesson. In the end we arranged to have it today at 4pm. I forgot totally that it was Labour Day today in Australia. If I had remembered it, I would have taken the lesson at 2pm as she suggested. I can only take late evening classes as I needed to wait till Adrian is back from work to look after the kids before I can leave the house.

Anyway, it was pretty fun. The instructor, Denice is a really sweet lady. No pressure no nothing just lots of jokes and fun. She started off with me sitting in the hot seat - the driver seat. Taught me about the left/right signal, adjustment of the mirrors and seat. And soon she started off with me driving to along Wallace Street towards Kuran Street. I was pretty nervous and luckily she was there to guide me. While on Kuran Street, it was more of a residential area thus the traffic was pretty clear. Learnt how to perform left and right turns and made quite a bit of mistakes here and there. We even drove on the main road, Gympie Road and went through a roundabout. We even made a reverse just outside my house. Honestly I was just looking at the road and nothing else. I did not even take a glace at the various mirrors after the adjustment at the beginning of the lesson. At the end of the lesson, Denice did comment on my left/right turn. She said that I was not fast in straightening right after making the turn. Told me that I had to straighten it earlier so as not to turn onto the oncoming traffic lane. Basically she as very happy with me on my first lesson and said I was actually better than many of her students who could have already taken maybe 7 lessons with her. Phew....Till the next lesson on next Thursday.

So tired now, not from the lesson busy becuase both Adrian and I stayed up to watch the last disc of Little Nonya till I think around 3am. Off to bed now after putting the kids to bed. Till then

Time really flies. In the blink of eye (somehow), Sebastian is already 8 months old. It seemed just yesterday that I was pregnant and getting ready to leave for Australia and now he's already an active crawler. • Likes to be covered up when seated in his carseat

Feeding Didi with bread

Adrian worked till late today so we had a very late dinner. Since he was not coming home so early, i waited till he's almost home before I cooked dinner. While waiting, the three of us (Sabrina, Sebastian and myself) played together as usual. Sabrina wanted some bread so I gave her some maybe a quarter of a slice. Without thinking, she turned and peeled off one tiny bit and gave it to her brother who was playing with the toys on the floor. She felt very uncomfortable and at the same time as she put the bread into Sebastian's mouth. I guessed partially it was because of his saliva. I praised her and asked her to give another small piece of bread to the brother and she did it once again. Good girl. It really shows that she loves her brother just that she does not say it but well actions speak louder than words. When I asked for a piece, she ignored me and walked away with the rest of the bread. Hahaha. Only didi gets that privilege.
