ANZAC Day- Public Holiday Plus visit to Adrian's colleague's place at Bracken Ridge

Australians celebrates ANZAC Day today with a very massive Dawn Mass. Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I and also to commemorate the soldiers who fought in France and Belgium. Anzac Day is also observed in the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa and Tonga.

This was celebrated with style with a mass at dawn lasting all the way till around noon and also woth news coverage. It was declared a public holiday and almost all the shops were closed. Even the various theme parks only open from 1.30pm onwards.

For us we went off for our fortnightly visit to New Farm Park where they held the Farmers' Market. Today we tried this French style fired pizza. It cost us $14 but it did taste good althought we felt that it was a little too steep. But at least it was nice. As we walked along, Sabrina passed by the waffle stall and refused to move. Guess she was hungry as usually she would have eaten at least 2 slices of bread, cheese and some other things. So we bought her the waffle and she happily ate it while we waited for our order of pizza. But somehow while waiting, something caught her eye. She saw a brown dog and told me " Doggie" and zoomed for the dog in the midst of people walking. She stood beside the dog and stroked the dog's fur and said "Doggie". So cute.

Shortly after buying the food, we brought her to the playground and she had a fun time running around playing the slides and planks-walking and rocking animals. But we got to cut it short as Sebastian had knocked off half a bottle of water onto himself whilst Adrian was drinking from it and I was busy looking after Sabrina at the play area. Naughty little boy.

So off we went to the car to change and we went on our way to Adrian's colleague's place at Bracken Ridge. Both kids fell asleep while on our way even when we reached the place, they were still asleep. So we wound down the windows with the air con still running and left the kids in the car while we toured his friend's place. It was really a nice place. They fully utilised the land. But of course it came with hard work and careful planning. It is also costly but they did things slowly and with 3 working adults, they can easily work out the finance.

By the time we had finished touring he house, the kids had already woke up from their nap. Sebastian happily followed James' wife into the house and play while Sabrina wanted to have another go at the sweets we kept in the car. In the end we had to use an apple to bribe her.

As most of the shops are closed for the day, we came home and had curry chicken that I only spent maybe less than half anf hour to cook. Kids are already asleep by 9pm and hereby I am penning off to catch on my sleep as well....
