New Car

Keep wanting to post this entry but kept pushing it back. Hubby bought me a 2nd hand car - a Mazda 121 from his friend in Sydney few weeks back. To cut the story short, we finally managed to register the car under Queensland as it used to be from New South Wales (NSW). He managed to choose the number plate as well. Initially the officer gave him the number 994. He did not like it and requested for another one. Next came 995. Now he got bolder and asked the officer" so can choose? Do you have 999?" "No" came the reply. "998?" He asked again. "No" came the reply again. Finally he asked again "997?" "Yes" replied the officer. "I will take that." So here is my car.

Batman dozzing off....and loot from Baby and Kids Market

Adrian was just commenting this morning about this Batman outfit that his cousin passed to us before we left for Aust. He was wondering if he could fit into it as he has grown a lot and that as far as Adrian could remember, the Batman outfit was rather small. So I quickly took it out and hold and behold, it really suit him now. So after we came back from the Baby and Kids Market, I let him wear it after his bath. He looks so cute in it. Did not manage to get Daddy to take a shot with Little Batman. But I managed to take some of him straight after his feed. He looks so adorable in this outfil and looking at him struggling to keep himself awake was the best deal.
Right after his milk, Little Batman struggling to keep his eyes open

Batman still struggling...

Batman finally gave up the fight and join the rest of Batman kids to Batman World

Off to Batman Land

Happily sleeping away

After his nap, a shot of Batman and Mummy

Our loot from Baby and Kids Market at St Joseph College
Nowadays when we do go to the Baby and Kids Market, I realised that we no longer are interested in the clothes and shoes that are on display. Instead we were on the lookout for toys. This is especially true for this 2 events that we had gone last week and today. We saw this Sesame Street Garage that was going at $10 and we bought it as it just look so neat and we have not seen this in SG before. We also got an Elmo's tractor with some farm animals and it will sing to the tune of Old MacDonald has a Farm when these farm animals are placed on the trailer. It only cost us $8. We just happily bought it as Sabrina loves Sesame Street especially Elmo. On top of toys, we have also been buying DVD from these events. We had bought so far 2 Play with Me Sesame DVDs, 4 Hi-5 DVDs and 1 Ghostbuster I and II DVDs. Each of these DVD was going at $5.
If you have not noticed, this Baby and Kids Market is actually a place where Mummies (usually) bring out all their used items like clothes, shoes, toys, dvd, video tapes and all and sell it at a cheaper price. Some items could be a brand new item but as their kids have already outgrown them , why not sell it and have some fun. We actually got many decent items from these events that we had attended so far. Some item can go as cheap as 20 cents. We managed to get some brand new items at less than half the retail price outside. So why not buy from this place and save some money. Not that I am cheapskate or anything but to me I do not have intention of spending big money on kids clothes especially as they outgrown them so fast. Anyway, my kids have been wearing hand me downs from friends and relatives so there is no big issue on getting some items from this market. Who knows, when my kids are bigger, I might join the Mummies and sell away items that my kids no longer can wear or use. It would really be fun. Till that day then.....

Saturday out - Farmers' Market and SunnyBank

Here we are getting ready to go to Farmer's Market, a fortnightly event and Sabrina is creating trouble. See her cheekily smiling into the camera and disturbing Daddy as he made a telephone call. That'a our little girl.

Our sweet little princess in a Jumper

Took some snapshots of Sabrina in a jumper (Pumpkin Patch) that we bought from the Baby and Kid's Market last Sunday. She looks so cute in it that I could not resist taking some photos of her in action. She took my sunglasses and treated it as hers and walk round the house with that on as Adrian and I were preparing the stuff to bring on our late night shopping today.

Watching some TV programs just before we left, wearing her jumper

Grooving around with my sunglasses

Running towards me as I took this shot

Sabrina turns 32 months and Sebastian turns 7 weeks

Sabrina turns 32 months today and Sebastian turns 7 weeks today as well. Sabrina is getting used to having a little brother at home. At times, she does makes lots of noise and tries not to cooperate with us. But nowadays I think she is better in terms of helping me out at times. She will gladly help me throw away Sebastian soiled diapers. When I am mopping the floor, she will take another broom and tries to sweep the floor, not that it helps to keep the floor clean but at least she knows that when we clean the floor, this is what we need to use.

Sebastian is getting cuter by the day. He likes to smile at us when we talk to him. Think he is faster in terms of smiling at people as compared to Sabrina. But to us, as long as he is healthy and eating well, sleeping well, we are very contented. And look, he is already 7 weeks old. Very soon, he will be learning to flip, crawl and walk...and many many more. I will be waiting anxiously for these moments to come by.

Early in the morning

Some snapshots of Sebastian after his morning shower.

Our little gem

Up close and personal

He looks so long here

And where is Sabrina now? She is happily watching Play with Me Sesame downstairs while I shower Sebastian upstairs. She already had her shower while Sebastian was sleeping earlier. At least I can have some peace and time to take some photos of Sebastian.

Shower Time on a Sunday evening

We went to the Kids and Baby Market at South Brisbane this morning. We did not buy many things as we had already bought quite a bit the week before at Gold Coast. Thus after shopping at the market, we went off to Sunnybank for lunch and some grocery shopping. By the time we reach home around 5plus in the evening, we quickly clear our groceries and brought the kids upstairs for their shower.
As we had taken many photos of Sabrina having her shower when she was younger, Adrian also wanted to take some photos of Sebastian in action while showering. Since Sabrina was still munching on her apple, we decided to shower Sebastian first. Adrian took quite a few shots of him naked and either looking at me or at Adrian. Such a cute little boy. As usual Sabrina would be running around the room. Adrian managed to catch her trying to jump off the stool that she placed in the bathroom.

On a lazy Saturday like this....

We decided to stay at home today. This is the first weekend that we stayed at home since arriving in Australia in June. Usually, we will be running around on weekends, bringing Sabrina out for shopping at the malls, farmers market or some tourists attractions. Since this is the first weekend that we are alone with the 2 kids (my aunt went back to Malaysia on Wednesday), we thought we wanted to clear the house and rearrange some of the items at home since both of us are at home. Adrian also wanted to use the time to wash the cars, now that he has got 2 cars, he will need plenty of time to wash, vacuum and polish them.

Spent the whole day cooking, clearing up stuff, changing bedsheets, washing car and playing with the kids and finally it's SHOWER TIME. Each of us took one kid to save time. Adrian brought Sabrina to the bathtub in the bathroom and shower her while I brought Sebastian to the mini bathtub and shower him in the room. After her shower, Sabrina continued to play in the water and Adrian took this opportunity to take some photos of Sebastian in the tub.

After showering both kids, it's back to us to take turns for our bath and play time with the kids. This is one thing that I really love about staying in Aust - we really get to spend quality time with our kids unlike in SG where we really were racing against time not to mention about spending time with our kids. Now that we have 2 kids, quality time is really important to us.

Confinement is over, Driving Theory Test and Seb's 1st Official Outing

My confinement is officially over today and it also marks the day where Sebastian turns officially 1 month old under the lunar calendar.

Quite a few updates for the day.

Firstly, I went to take my driving theory test in the afternoon. Adrian has been bugging at me to take my diving test while my aunt is still around. Imagine during my confinement, apart from looking after both kids, I also need to learn my theory. But luckily I passed with flying colours, getting a 100% and got my Learner's Licence which is valid for 3 years. Atfer one year, I can go for my driving test and get my Provisional Licence. Meanwhile I will have to use this one year t learn to drive. Adrian will be teaching me and we will most likely get an instructor to teach me as well.

Officially, Sebastian can go out today. So we dressed him and put him into the car seat. This car seat belonged to Sabrina when she was younger. We had a car back then in Singapore and the Govt made an annoucement that all kids must be in car seat back in 2006 so we had no choice but to get this. I took a shoot of him in his carseat getting ready to go out. See how cute and adorable he looks.
