Just had our dinner of Domino's Pizza which is less than Aust$10. After dinner, Adrian took out the strawberries that we bought the other day. So I happily have my share of strawberries. Guess what? Sabrina wanted to try. So I gave her one to taste and she actually like it. She just happily munch into it. At times when it's a little sour, she will show a sour face but still continues to eat it.
Actually I am not so sure how much strawberries she can take at her age but I am really gald that she likes it and is willingly to try out all kinds of fruits. She loves grapes. She evn tries oranges few weeks back and sort of like it. Fruits are good for all of us so I just let her try out whatever fruit we buy for the week. Even Adrian cannot escape as I make sure he brings a fruit to work for lunch everyday. So far he has only been bringing apples as it's small and he would be able to finish it straight after his lunch that I had prepared for him.
Fruits in Australia are really fresh and reasonably cheap. Just imagine the strawberries that we just ate. In Singapore, we would never buy any strawberries off the shelves at supermarkets or fruit stalls as they tend to be rather sour than sweet. Well, based on Adrian's logic which I also agree, the strawberries or any type of fruits that are sent to Singapore are pluck when they are unripe. This is to prevent them from turning bad before they reach Singapore. If they had sent it those fruits that are ripe to Singapore, bythe time they arrive at Singapore, they would have gone bad and it would be a big loss to the suppliers as well as the buyers. Since we are in Australia now, we might as well enjoy the fruits that are available and affordable.
Till then.........
