Little Princess is 20 month old today

Wow...time really flies. Our little princess has arrived on Planet Earth for 20 months. It's really hard to believe that she has grown from a small little baby who constantly need to be carried to now a toddler who just likes to run about every chance she got. Just looking at her makes our day no matter how tired we were everyday. She just brightened up our day, our life and our everything.

Thinking back, the nine months I had carried her had been nothing out of the extraordinary. Apart from the first 3 months when I have to get home before 3pm and have a nap in order to be able to go off to work the following day, it was actually a breeze I would say. I was even in Sydney with my Choir where they performed at the Australian International Music Festival (AIMF)where they clinched a Gold award. Well I was not aware that I was pregnant then.
We even went for a short holidays to Bangkok and were back in time to attend Adrian's ex-colleague's wedding which falls on our ROM anniversary. We touched down in the afternoon and did not really have time to unpack our luggage and off we were to the wedding.

Sabrina arrived almost 3 weeks prior to the EDD given by my gynaecologist. I guessed I must have been too active in school during the nine months. My colleagues had all been very sweet and caring all through my pregnancy and I thanked them for everything.
Now that Sabrina is 20 month old. I guess very soon we will be hearing her endless chatter and hope that she will do well in school and in society. Who know, we might just want to expand our family in another year or two. Just let nature takes its course.....

On a Sunday.....

Holding on to Daddy while watching Elmo's World at MacDonald

Daddy and her little princess

Breakfast at MacDonald on weekends has become a routine of sorts for us. We will do some marketing and off to Mac for breakfast. Here are some pictures taken of Hubby and Princess at Macdonald. So loving and warm.

Sunday is also a day where we will go over to my parents' place for weekly visit. Here are some pictures taken at the MRT station.

Night out

Went off for dinner at Kovan. We ate at this newly opened restuarant named QiJi. From the name it sounds like some Chinese food outlet but it's actually not. It is selling Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam, Laska and Popiah. I must the food is good and that the chilli is absolutely a great seduction to all chilli lovers. Anyway our little monster happily ate fish fillet and eggs. Anyway after the allergy episode on Tuesday, this is the first time I am letting her eat seafood. I am not like some paranoid mummies who will insist that the child not eat seafood for a month or longer. To us, my hubby and I, we feel that it is actually part and parcel of growing up. Anyway there is no more episode of rashes so we will just let it be. So enjoy all your food, little monster.
Brought my mil to buy the watch that she had eyed the other day at this watch shop that I used to work after my 'O' levels. Looking back, it has been so many years. That was 10 years ago. I even remembered seeing my hubby there twice back then. Once he was there with his parents on a weekend doing marketing I think and another time with his friends or whoever. When I asked him, he could still remember. Not too bad ya.
Here's some pictures of our little monster on the rides that we refused to put any coins in. Firstly, we feel that it's not worth. Secondly, she will not sit there once the ride starts. I guess she is the one that will be moving so forget it, we will not waste this kind of money.

Allergy all of a sudden

What a scare tonight. Just came back from the doctor. Sabrina had some rashes after dinner with us. Apparently prawns caused it. Adrian bought fried rice for dinner today so we shared a little with her. Shortly after eating it, we realised that she had some rashes under her chin. We thought maybe the cloth she was playing with was dirty. But then we realised that it started to spread to the other chin. So we thought maybe we could use some warm water and cleanse it. That is when we realised that it had spread to her body. Without wasting another minute, we rushed to the nearest 24 hour clinic.
She was busy playing with the xylophone that was in the clinic. She was also fascinated by the door at the reception table. Kept running back to play with it. While in the room, she refused to let the doctor take her temperature and was screaming and crying loudly as usual without a single tear. Then after the consultation, she tried to pull Adrian to the door. It was so funny even the doctor was laughing at her. Doctor prescribed some calamine lotion and some oral medication. He said that the oral medication will cause drowsiness and it would be good as she is so hyper.

By the time we reached home, her rashes were down by almost 70%. So we just gave her the medication and applied the lotion and she is off to la la land. Let's hope she will be alright tomorrow.

Mac for Breakfast

Having Mac for breakfast is a regular routine on weekends for us. She gets to eat her favourite hotcakes and we get to have our Big Breakfast. Here are some snapshots of her at Mac waiting for the arrival of her hotcakes.

See her cheeky look. She cannot even sit properly on the highchair. Think got pointed butt so cannot sit at the same position for long. Hahaha

Dinner at Xin Wang at Kovan

We went for dinner at Xin Wang at Kovan. My mil and sil both need to buy a watch and get their current watches serviced. Usually we will go to the shop that I used to work at while waiting for my O levels results. Wow ..come to think of it, it's almost 10 years ago.
So before we went to the shop, we decided to have dinner first before the crowds set in as it was a Saturday night. Guess we were lucky. We took up the last available table when we entered the restuarant. After that the queue started just when we sat down. Phew, what a relief. Here's a picture of Sabrina before the food arrives. She was engrossed with watching Elmo's World on the player.
Before the food arrives
And here she is looking at the food that was slowly arriving from the kitchen.
When the food is here

By the way, I already started letting her self feed. My god. It's messy. I just used a fork and poke the food and passed it to her. Her aiming was good I should say. She was able to put the food into her mouth and returned me the fork. Way to go, Baby.

At the playground Episode 2

Brought her to the playground again today. She enjoyed herself very much climbing up the stairs leading to the slide while I enjoyed myself taking pictures of her in action. She even attempted the slide at the open space after she was done at the sheltered playground. She was really gung ho. I helped her a little with climbing towards the slide and helped her get seated at the start of the slide. Afterwhich I quickly ran down the stairs and before I was on the ground, she had already slid down the slide. I think it was a little high but she just happily slide down without fear. When I reached her, she was grinning from ear to ear. Haiz..that's our little monster. Here are some pictures taken of her at the playground.

At the Playground

Brought my little princess to the playground in the evening just now. She enjoyed herself very much while I enjoyed chasing after her round the playground. It was so tiring.

Finally I taught her to play the slide. I did let her play with the slide last time but she was not very confident with sliding down but today she proves me wrong. So I started with letting her climb up the stairs. Afterwhich she needs to walk this small bridge to the slide. When she reached the slide, I told her that she needs to sit down and hold onto both sides of the slide and off she will go. Initially she wanted to stand and slide down but after a few tries, she got the hang of it. She will start at the start of the slide and when I told her she needs to sit before she can slide, she quickly say down and hold the sides and off she slide. I was actually quite surprised she could do it so well.

There was also this child with her grandmother who came and joined us shortly after I started teaching Sabrina how to slide. Initially I thought the child was a boy so I told Sabrina " See Kor Kor can slide down on his own." I think I said it twice until the grandmother say is "Jie Jie". I was like "Oh so sorry about that." The grandmother was very sweet and she said "she looks like a boy." So after that the girl just wanted to be be around my litttle monster. So they slide down together usually the girl will wait for my girl at the start of the slide and slide down together when I said "One, Two and Three." So they played for a while and then my little monster decided to walk off and the grandmother wanted her granddaughter to go home and have dinner. I asked Sabrina to do her friend-kiss and she did. It really depends on her mood.

Anyway I think she is real tired and as she is snoring away now. Hahaha...What is the morale of the story? Get her to go to the playground everyday and she will have a great sleep.
