- Took the spaghetti from us.
- Look at it
- Broke it into 2 pieces within 1 minute. Fast ya?
- Pick it up and examine the broken pieces.
- While examining the 2 broken pieces, she broke one of the halves into smaller halves.
- Everything drop onto the floor again.
- This time she squatted down and picked up the smallest of the 3 pieces.
- She decided to put the smallest piece into her mouth. As the this piece is not really that long or short, when she put it into her mouth, part of the spaghetti still protudes out like smoking a cigarette. Both Adrian and I were laughing so hard.
- I took away the smallest piece of spaghetti from her mouth and gave her the 2 longer pieces.
- She took both of it and tried to escape from the kitchen.
- In the end, she was seen playing with the pieces at the kitchen door, trying to stuff them into the small space between the hall and the kitchen.

Playing with uncooked spaghetti
We decided to cook spaghetti for lunch today as Adrian was rushing to complete as assignment due today. Sabrina was not asleep as yet. She was happily roaming around the house pulling at everything she sees as usual. So while cooking the spaghetti, Adrian decided to pass her just one strip of uncooked spaghetti. We washed it and passed it to her. Below was what she did step by step:

She waved Goodbye
Must jot this down. Today I went over to my in laws' place for weekly visit. So brought my little monster with me. These are some of the things she did :
- Took the remote when she first stepped into the house and pressed the buttons. All of a sudden we realised how come no sound coming from the television set. Well she has sort of mute it to volume zero.
- Point to the wind chimes that my in laws had along the windows. She just loves the wind chimes. When she hears the wind chimes, she will stop all that she is doing and look at them.
- Go into my mum in law's room and play with her watermelon clock and came out of the room with a Dan Ryan keychain.
- Switch the channels around when she was holding onto the remote.
- Switch off the television set.
- Walk around the house.
- Tried to take the photoframe of herself thet my in laws put on top of the player.
- Tried to bluff her Grandpa when he asked her to give him her toy that she was holding onto. She walked towards her Grandpa and instead of passing him her toy, she toyed with his jade bracelet.
- Took out the toys that I brought along and tried to decide which toy she wanted to play with. She was trying to decide between the keys and the chain of flat toys. Finally decided on the chain.
- Her naptime was almost up so she was so unhappy and cranky as she walked around the house with her chain. Kept coming to me and wanting to climb up onto my laps.
- Finally wave Goodbye to Grandparents before she left. Usual is her Twinkle Twinkle star gesture with both hands facing inwards. Today finally she did it with one hand to indicate Goodbye facing outwards.

Thinking about the past
Not sure what to post. Let's just see what is in my mind as I go along.
Well my baobei is already 15mths and 6 days old now. Time really flies. It just seemed like yesterday when we celebrated her 1 month old birthday and now she is already walking. Time and tide wait for no Man. We are just waiting for her to start talking.
And our wedding anniversary is around the corner as well. Wow, come to think of it, we have been married for almost 3 years. That's pretty fast. We were just talking about our wedding yesterday. We so so gung ho back then. We did everything on our own. It's as if we run the whole show. From wedding preparation, sending out wedding invitation cards, seating arrangement, liasing with restuarant, bridal studio arrangment and many more. We did it all without much help. Even on the wedding banquet itself, we were still telling people which table they were supposed to sit until Adrian got some of his poly friends to help guide the guests in. Even photo taking with each table was all done on our own till again Adrian's friends stepped in to help. His cousin helped out too. By the time the banquet was over and all the guests had left, we were both hungry and tired. So imagine when we reached our own place to spend the very first night as husband and wife, we were dead tired. People out there, forget about wedding night. You will be so dead tired to think about that. This was what happened when we reached our own place.
First we dumped all the wedding gowns, coats and everything behind the door when we stepped into the house. Then we went to the kitchen to eat what the restuarant had packed for us. It actually tasted very nice just that it's a little cold but we just too tired to reheat it. After that we went to clean up. I got so much hair gel on my hair that I think it making it very heavy. Hahaha. So we took turns to take shower and by the time we finished our shower, we were just too tired. We did not even care if our hair is dry or wet, we just hit the sack and slept till the next morning. Hard to believe ya. No wonder people always say that wedding is a tedious event in our life. Now I have been through it, I truly believe it.

Three years down the road, we added a new member to our family - our bundle of joy.
Little Sabrina - when she is exactly 1 year old (22 Feb 2007)
To be able to see her grow up each day is really a blessing. She is so cute but really cheeky at times. But to be able to see her smiles, it will melt our hearts away, not to mention a day's hard work.
So when will Baby No 2 arrive? Many asked. Well maybe in another 2 years down the road, we will just add a new member to our family. Till then, let us concentrate on giving our little princess the best and only the best.
She used the handphone
Today I gave her one of the handphone that Adrian deisgned before we got married in her previous company where he worked for his cousin. So i showed her how how to talk on the phone. First, I used the handphone and said "Hello, Nana". She actually laughed. Then I put the handphone at her ear and said "Hello, Daddy". I did that a few times and even teach her how to hold the handphone in her hand and put it to her ear. Finally, I gave her the handphone and said "Hello, baby". She put the handphone at her ear and she acted as if she was talking on the phone. So cute, my little darling.

She did something new today
My little Princess with her new hair style and her toys connectors as bracelets that I had put on for her.She did something very cute today. She has this elephant that holds a container with shapes on it. I used to show her how to put the shapes back into the container but she will purposely shake everything out and start to put the shapes into her mouth. However, today when she is in her play pen with the container in there, she started putting the shapes back into the container irregardless of the size. So i sat there and watched what she did for a while. She will pick up one piece and then try to push it into the container. If she cant push it into the empty slot, she will try pushing it into another slot. So cute.
I also tied her hair today. Managed to tie those at the back rather than just the sides. However after playing for a while and with her lying down to drink her milk, her 2 antenna are pushed downwards. Did not manage to capture that on camera though.
She was playing with her Elmo toy too. She lay down and was happily putting Elmo into her mouth and singing Elmo. Hahaha.

She's much better today
I guess Sabrina has recovered somehow. Basically she is not that seriously ill. Just that we brought her to the doctor just in case as there are so many new viruses nowadays.
Anyway, she was very happily running around today. Sil came over with her kids and Sabrina was happily running all over the house. The funniest part was when my nephew was in the room playing game. She purposely walked over to him and sat on his lap. Hahaha. So naughty. Again and again, she will walked over and disturb him while he continue playing the games.
She still refuse to learn simple gestures like Bye bye, Hi or Yes and No. Well I guess the best will be for her to learn when she thinks she is ready. Happy waiting.

Trip to Mt Alevia
Brought her to Mt Alvenia today. Spent a whopping $105 inclusive of consultation and medication. Just a mere 10 minutes in the room with the PD already cost us $80. No wonder doctors earn big bucks. To think we are also considered a professional but not paid as much and not as much respect.

Sabrina is sick
What a way to end the week. Sabrina is sick. She had a slight flu but she got well after one dosage of medicine.
But today she has a slight cough. Not sure how she got it though, Maybe nowadays the viruses are all airbourne. Haiz. Rub lots of Vicks on her front and back. Giving her medicine is like fighting a war with her. She will struugle and refuse to take it. You can just imagine the two of us holding her and forcing her to drink and she will kick and fuss and scream out loud.
Hopefully she will recover fast.

Trip to Vivo City again
Happy familyWent to Vivo today again. Haiz. As it's a Sunday, we usually go over to my parents' place. This has been the practice since we got married 3 years ago. They chose today to go and watch Spiderman 3. My brother booked the tickets for them to see it at Vivo. So here we are again at Vivo.
Today we finally remember to bring our camera along. The day before we forgot to bring along so we make do with our handphone. Managed to take quite a no of pictures today but guess what? We did not check the digital camera battery and it turned out that it was only left with one bar. Aiyo. But then we managed to capture the night scenery and of course our little princess in action.
First we went to the fountain outside the building. Sabrina was so mesmerised by the fountain that we took a while to capture her on screen with her face looking at the camera. Managed to take family pictures as well. But it's her individual ones that were very challenging. Either she was going the wrong direction or she was looking at the fountain not the camera. Luckily it's a digital camera if not I wonder how much money will be wasted developing those pics with her back or half her face looking elsewhere.
Shortly after this, we went to the other side of the building where it faces Sentosa. Was waiting for the jetty to light up so that the pictures will turn out nicer. But we waited and waited, it just did not light up. In the end, we went to the 3rd floor and took some more pictures. Well at least the cable cars were lit so we just make do with that. Took so many pictures with Sabrina as she was just wriggling around. Some pictures have her laughing but turning to one side. or some she moved and her hand covered my face. Aiyo so difficult to take. But I guess she was also sleepy as she was a little grumpy.
Then we went to the play area on the 2nd floor I think. So challenging to take her picture as she was always on the move. And when I finally managed to take 2 shots, the battery died on me. Hahaha. Well, a lesson learnt. Always check your camera battery before you leave the house. :)
Anway we had a great time taking photos today. By the time we reached home, Sabrina was already very tired. Had her milk and she is off to la la land. I am going to join her soon. Night all.

We brought her to Vivo City via the train
We brought Sabrina to Vivo city today. We took a train as we felt that that car traffic will be a kill on a Saturday. Anyway Sabrina enjoyed her train ride from Boon Keng to Habourfront. She was happily playing with her toy while on the train.
When we finally arrived, we went for lunch at Asian Kitchen. I ordered soup noodles with chicken chop. So our little rascal ate the soup noodles while Adrian quickly ate his fried rice wtih pork chop so that I can eat in peace afterwards. Once she is done, she demanded to be off with the seat. Basically she wants to walk around. Even since she knows how to walk on her own, she will want to walk around after she is done with her food. So we can never really eat in peace unless she is asleep while outside.
After lunch, we brought her to Toy R Us. We went to her favourite department - Soft toys- ELMO. We showed her an Elmo's puppet and she was grinning throughout. So we took this opportunity to capture her in action.
By the time, we came out of Toy R Us, it was way after her nap time. She was so sleepy. While outside Toy R Us, we saw Auntie Yanling and her family. Sabrina played a while with them but then as she was so sleepy she refused to play long.
So we parted and decided to go to Giant. Before we reached Giant, Sabrina felt asleep on my shoulders. Imagine how fast that was. Toy R Us is only one floor above that. Anway we just took a short walk around Giant and went home. We had an enjoyable trip but both Adrian ans I were so tired after the trip that we went back and sleep.

Tiger
Finally, Sabrina said "Tie-Ger" today. Must write it down so that she can read it when she's older.
I have been teaching her the word "tiger" for a few weeks. But she just refused to say anything just giggle or laugh and run away.
Today I changed her bedsheet to the one with all the zoo animals prints. So again I told her Tiger and point to it. She looked at it and then when I repeated the word the 2nd time, she said "Tie-ger". Although it's not the very clear tiger but you can hear that she said it. So i asked again " Bao Bei, where is tiger?" Guess what? She walked to the print and point and say "Tie-ger" Yeah, she knows how to say the word.
So at night when Adrian came back, while I was changing her into her night wear, I asked her "Bao Bei, show Daddy where is the tiger." She happily walk to the tiger print and point and say "Tie-ger" Hahaha. What a happy day.

La la la la La la la la Elmo's world
Me back again.
My gal watching her favourite show now - Elmo's World. She can watch it many times a day but I limited it to most 3 times a day. Once she hears the opening song " la la la la la la la la, ELmo's world...." she will be smiling away or clapping her hands. So cute. Anyway, she doesn't sit through watching it. She will watch when Elmo's talking or doing something but when Mr Noodle or other characters appear, she will ignore them.
So hubby and I tried this - when the vcd is playing and she is playing her toys in her pen without watching, we switch the player off. She will immediately stand up in her pen and make noise. Just like when the show ended and the empty screen came up. Hahaha. We arrived at this conclusion she just wants to hear the voice of Elmo.
At least now she watches other shows. Last time she will only watch Chicken Little. She can cry and cry when we play other shows- Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Chicken Run. But once Chicken Little starts, she will immdiately stop crying and watch it. As usual she does not watch the whole show, She watches only when Chicken Little came to the screen.

First Post
Finally created this blog to include all my day's happenings. It will serve as a jog down memory lane in the years to come by. To be able to share all that is happening around me to me friends, collagues and relatives.
I am currently a happy mummy to my little princess, Sabrina who is now 14months. I have a loving hubby, Adrian who dotes on both of us. Anyway he's the only guy in the house so guess he has got no choice. Hahaha
My day is kept busy everyday running after my little princess who just learnt how to walk. I believe that the first 3 years in a child's life is the most important period. This is the time where they will learn lots of things from their surroundings as well as from the people they interact with. This also serves as a bonding session for parents and kids. I believe that by spending quality time with your child help enhance your relationship with them. As they grow older, they know that no matter what problems they faced and whatever happiness they encounter, they can always go back to their dearest Mummy and Daddy.
