Funny acts

After her shower, she went round the house messing up her toys. Everyday, after her shower, she will look into the mirror and wave "Hi" and give "Flying kiss" to her mirror image. It's done everyday without fail on her own. This is followed by her switching off the room light where I will carry her to. Off to the sofa where all her toys are and within split seconds, everything will be on the floor. Haiz...and this is not the end of things. She will continue to go to the room or kitchen to continue to display all her toys.

The only time, the house is neat and tidy is when she goes off for her nap. I make it a point to get her to keep her toys into the box. Not that she will faithfully keep everything, even a small portion of it is done by her is good enough for me. At least she knows that things need to be kept properly before nap. Sometimes, she will pack halfway and decide that it's enough and put the lid onto the various containers that hold her toys. I am happy with that.

After her nap shots

See this is how she looks like everyday after her afternoon nap. Moreover can still pose for the camera. Buay tahan her.

First shot - still looking blur

2nd shot - Smiling away

3rd shot- Up and about with messy hair though

Sabrina with her wound

Hereby showing pictures of Sabrina with the deep wound on the top right hand corner of her forehead.

Smiley baby as usual

My poor little baby with her signature cheeky smile.

See the wound on the top right hand corner

Luckily, the wound was not too deep and that it really require no stitches. She is up and running about happily. Just came back from my in laws' place. Mil was going round telling people that Sabrina has got a wound on her forehead. She dared not say who cause it. People around thought that it was Sabrina who was michievous thus causing that injury. If anyone had come forward and say that in my face, I would just give it to them. I was already unhappy that she went round telling others just part of the facts. But I will tolerate. I will just not let them near her.

Poor Sabrina has a big bruise on her head

Sabrina had a big bruise on the top right corner of her forehead. She suffered a big bruise with a cut on the bump. Luckily it's not on her cheek or somewhere obvious. It's on the forehead and covered by her fringe.

Anyway, she was crying so much that she refused to walk while on the way home. Took so long to pacify her. This must have been really painful. There was a little blood from the wound. Used some warm water to clean her wound. She was tearing the house down as I cleaned the wound. No stitches needed so far. Will have to monitor and see how it is tomorrow.

Honestly I am hopping mad. Never in the 22months that she is on Earth had I allowed this kind of mishap to happen to her. Occasional knocks here or there with no wound whatsoever occur from time to time but never this serious. I honestly think that I am not paranoid. Had I been the one to cause her the injury, I would have felt better as I would not need to blame anyone but myself and I will definitely be more careful in future. But it just so happen to be caused by others and I am mad as it would not have happened if Sabrina was not forcefully carried away.

She was running amok at Popular at Novena where we had dinner. Knowing her and the space constraints, Adrian carried her to prevent her from running around. It was then that Sabrina was forcefully carried away and again allowed to run on the ground and this accident happened. It was just a mere few minutes. Imagine the pain that she must have felt and imagine the pain I feel when I saw my little girl with a big bruise crying her heart out. I just grabbed my girl and walked away and refused to let the rest to touch her.

I know partly my girl is at fault as well as she is just so playful but my point is that if she had stayed in Adrian's arms, this would not have happened. From tomorrow onwards, I am not going to allow Sabrina to be out of my sight no matter what.

Dinner at Square 2 to celebrate Sabrina's 22month old

Brought little monster to Square 2 to celebrate her 22months on planet Earth. Let the pictures do the talking.

Sabrina is 22months old today

Sabrina is 22months old today. Time just pass by so quickly. Sometimes I can't really remember how small she used to be when she was younger. Time for Baby No 2? Not yet. Hahaha. Adrian is thinking of having Baby No 2 in the year of the Ox. I am quite agreeable to that though. Will just let nature takes its course. Meanwhile just enjoy having my little family around.

Dinner at Velocity

Was getting ready to go for dinner at Velocity. Managed to snap a few shots of Sabrina before we leave the house. She looks so grown up here. No wonder we always get comments like "She is already 3 years old ya?" When we say "No, she's not even 2 yet." People will go "Wow, she looks very tall and big for her age." Well, she takes after Adrian who is tall. I am the shortie in the family.
Here's our little baby.
Hahahaha

I think we had a eating marathon tonight. First we had dinner at PepperLunch. Had the salmon pepper rice which Sabrina also happily shared with me. Then walk around for a while and went to Hiagen Daz for ice-cream as my sil has some voucher. Had the fondue and flower blossom. Then my niece still felt like having the sauages at Mingles. So we went to the 2nd floor where Mingles is situated. had sausages and Root Beer Float and ice-cream again. I must say we had sucha sumptous dinner cum dessert that we spent almost 200 bucks on food just for tonight. After all these eating, we should be going for a strict diet from tomorrow onwards.

Malacca trip

Will be posting pictures taken during Sabrina's first overseas trip when I consolidate everything together with those pictures from my parents' side since we brought along 2 digital cameras.

15 Dec - Quite a bearable trip. Sabrina was quite cooperative throughout the trip apart from making noise after sitting in the car seat for close to an hour. By the time we reached my grandparents' place, it was close to 11pm, way past her bedtime. Thus she fell asleep before we reached. As she had not had enough sleep, she make a big fuss when we touched down. Took us so long to finally appease her. In the end, my uncle drove us to the motel that we will be staying for the next 2 days and we clean her up and she slept through the night as usual.

16 Dec - The Big Celebration
It is really a milestone to be able to live past 80 years old. This year is my grandfather's 81st year on planet Earth. Thus my uncles and aunts decided to have a big celebration to mark this special day. They also arranged for phototaking for the family in the morning. A photographer was arranged to come over to the house to take pictures. I think we took about an hour or so to take photographs with my grandfather and some individual shots of himself. After that it was free and easy before the big celebration at night. Sabrina was just happily watching other kids play. She just sat there and laughed when she saw them playing. She haven't really learnt how to play with others yet but she was just very happy playing on her own. Taking whatever things that my cousins or aunts gave her may it be ballons or some other stuff. In the afternoon, we made sure that Sabrina had her nap so that she would not be so cranky. She slept for almost 2 hours and was very refreshed after her nap.

We went back to the hotel and took turns to shower and freshen up for the night event. By the time we return to my grandparents' place, the place was packed to the brim with relatives coming from all parts of Malaysia. Some came from KL, Ipoh, Segamat and so on and do forth. We just did some minor mingling and spent the rest of the night in the room as Sabrina was a little cranky.

By the time the crowd slowly dispersed, it was almost 10.30pm. We then asked my dad to send us back to the hotel so that little monster can change and sleep. Turned out that by the time she had her milk, she just knocked out. Guess she was really very tired.

17 Dec - Home Sweet Home
Reached Singapore around 8plus in the night. By the time we reached home, it was close to 10pm. Sabrina slept right after her milk.

Preparing for Malacca trip

For the past few days, I have been rather busy with packing for oour Malaysia trip. This is the first overseas trip since giving birth to my little monster. Big headache for us as we need to bring extras of everything that we brought along especially Sabrina's stuff. So here I was packing and there Sabrina was happily taking the bag which I placed all her diapers in and walking round the house with her squeaking shoes on. Catch her in action.

Been such a long time

Had a very enjoyable dinner date with my colleagues from school. It has really been such a long time since we met up and catch up with one another. Both are pursuing their degrees and both are working real hard to complete it within the stipulated timeframe. Wish them best of luck.

Had dinner at The Vilage at Hereem. We then realised that the opening hours for the restuarant are so long. It's open from 10am to 11pm. Imagine almost 12 hours. So many things to catch up on but so little time. Will have to arrange to meet up again when all of us are free.

Sabrina is better today

Brought Sabrina to see the doctor again. Change of medicine and she's much better. At least it allowed her to sleep through her afternoon nap rather than like yesterday when she woke up after a mere 30 minutes nap once she coughed.

Baby is sick

Poor little Sabrina is sick today. It started off with a cough on Friday night when she was sleeping. However, she was alright throughout yesterday when we brought her out. Then this morning, she started to sneeze and mucus will be running from her nose. Well we quickly brought her to the 24 hour clinic at Serangoon Central. We feel that we should quickly send her to the doctor as we will be going to Malaysia next weekend. It would have been very troublesome if she were to be sick there and we need to get her a doctor. Language is definitely a barrier since the 1st language there is Malay and we know no Malay.

During the visit at the clinic, the doctor gave her some stickers so that he can hear her heartbeat. She made a big fuss when the doctor tried to take her temperature using the ear thermometer. She had a fever of 38.5 degree. Doctor prescribed some fever, flu and cough medication for her. While waiting to collect her medicine, she was happily taking the stickers and pasting it on the sofa. It was quite funny. I even had a sticker on my hand. I am still wondering how it ended on my hand. Must be little monster. The receptionist likes her a lot. Said she looks very chubby and also she likes the way Sabrina was sitting on the sofa playing with the toys.

Went off to buy Mac for lunch and went over to my parents' place. As usual, Sabrina made a big fuss when we fed her her medication. Shortly after that, she had her milk and she fell asleep. Think she slept for around 2 hours and woke up crying. Well I tried to accomodate her as I know she is unwell. It ended with her lying very comfortably on me till she was happy and gave her daddy a cheeky smile and she was on her way to create havoc again.

We went for dinner at Kovan and it happened that Care Bears was having a road show. So from where we were having dinner, she could see the stage. Finally when the Care Bears made an appearance, we had just finished dinner. She just sat at her baby seat and danced and clapped. It was a very cute gesture. We just let her watched a part of the show and headed home as we want her to have ample rest.

When we reached home, she again made a fuss over mediaction feeding. But after her medication and milk, she slowly dozed off to sleep. Hopefully she will recover soon before we go off to Malaysia next weekend for my Grandfather's 80th birthday.

Baby, get well soon.

An enjoyable day

Adrian got to get himself another pair of soccer boots. The pair that he bought not so long ago was not suitable and he sprained him ankle last week while playing. He needs those traditional type of boots so we decided to go to Queensway where there is a large variety of boots.

We went to Ikea for lunch. Sabrina loves the soup, salmon and nuggets and had a great time eating. Managed to capture some of her naughty acts after meal. She is getting more cheeky nowadays. Sometimes not sure whether we should be laughing or screaming at her.
Anyway, we headed off to Queensway Shopping Centre and walked round the first 2 floors that sells sports apparel. Spent quite some time there and met my aunt and her Italian husband who was also shopping for some sports shoes. Finally Adrian got his boots and we headed off to AnchorPoint.

As we approached AnchorPoint, we realised that it was undergoing major renovation but some of the shops were opened so we went in. By then it was already 2plus, way past Sabrina's naptime. So we played a trick on her and put her in her pram and moved very slowly round and round the Basement. She finally gave up the fight and slept. With her asleep, we could have a peaceful meal. We went to the food court that was previously on the ground floor and tried the Western food stall. The lasagne and lamp chop were quite delicious. We cleaned up both plates. Just when we finished the food, Sabrina woke up. What a waste. She missed out eating. Hahaha. By the time we reached home, we were both dead tired. I guess Sabrina was very tired as well as she was already off to la la la land at around 8plus.

Play hard and work hard

Nowadays , it's getting so tiring chasing after little monster. Basically she is an Energiser bunny (hubby called her that). She is just so energetic. So keeping her very occupied the entire day is very tiring for me since I am with her 24/7. Nowadays, I realised that she only knows how to climb up the dinning table chair but does not know how to get down. Anyway I think she enjoys standing or sitting on that chair and she canreally sit there for quite a along while. I refuse to teach how to get down in case she starts to climb up and down as and when she likes. That will be a nightmare.

Today, I decided to let her play with her toys after her shower. Catch her doing all kinds of naughty acts in the slides below. After playing with her toys, she decided she wants to sit on the chair so I took out her book and gave her the colour pencils that we bought for her quite some time back. I drew a star and 2 flowers and asked her colour it. She just started to doodle and doodle and doodle. I think she sat on the chair for close to half an hour. Well if you think that she only doodle on the book, you are wrong. After a while, she got tired of just colouring on the boook and decided to colour on the boxes of her milk powder which were just beside her seat. I was like...there she goes again.....

Before her bath in the morning

Before her bath this morning, this was what she did to the cover that I left on the table. She turned it upside down and attempted to sit inside it. So when she did that, I quickly whipped out our digital camera and happily snapped away while she gave me all her cheeky smiles and naughty moves.

Into the basket cover she went.

Up she stood while in the cover

Crawling out of the cover

Finally out of the cover

Notice that she had something in her hand? Yes, it's a scrub that we kept in one of the drawers which had now become one of the items she removed from the drawer daily. Nowadays, she just likes to empty my cabinets and drawers and at times replaces the items with items from another drawer or cabinet.

Before bedtime

Just came back from Toa Payoh after having dinner there. By the time we reached home, it was nearly 10pm, way past Sabrina's bedtime. So I cleaned her up and wanted to change her into her pyjamas. But she had other plans. She climbed up onto our bed and started to jump on it and part lay on the bed. Here's what she did.

She took her cloth and covered herself

Night out to T3

My parents suggested visiting T3 this afternoon. So after Sabrina had her nap, we set off for our trip to T3. T3 is really huge. Sabrina had a fun time running amok while she was there. I must say it is tastfully done up as well. There are still parts of the airport that is still under construction so I am wondering how they can complete everything by 9 Jan 2008 as indicated on the many banners that they put up in the airport. My dad was thinking of going for the guided tour but the lady at the counter told him that they would be closing at 6pm (it was around 5.30pm when my dad enquired about the tour) and asked if we still wanted to go in for just half an hour. In the end, we decided to drop by another day as half and hour is definitely too short to fully view everything in the guided tour.

Though the airport is not in service as yet, there are already some eateries in function and we stopped by at Dian Xiao Er for dinner at around 5plus. Luckily we ate early as the place started to be packed just after we sat down to eat. Little princess was hapily eating fried rice, rice, roasted duck and peanuts for dinner.

After dinner, we went to the viewing gallery and Sabrina had fun climbing onto the seats and walking from seat to seat until she missed her footing and fell between the seats. She cried for a mere 30 seconds I think and was immediately quiet when we gave her a biscuit. Soon she was happily running around again. Hahaha

Shortly after that, we went to take the skytrain to T2. It was by then raining outside and Sabrina was happy tapping on the raindrops she saw on the window panes. It started off when I sang her the song "Rain rain go away" and I was tapping on the panes and telling her to touch the raindrops. Instead she took my hand and started to tap on the window panes. So I took my hand from her and she started to tap on the raindrops herself. Lazy bones.

She had a fun time running around T2 as well but T2 was very packed as well. But I think it's not as packed as T1. As we passed by T1 while on the skytrain, it looked as if T1 is overpacked with people, mostly getting ready to take their night flights. Hope that we will have a chance to bring Sabrina overseas next year. Maybe we can start with bringing her on a cruise and then slowly proceed to take a plane.

Anyway, she was very tired from the day's outing. We were out since 9am in the morning and we managed to reached home only at around 9plus at night. After her milk, she just knocked out. I think I should keep her very busy everyday so that she will can use up all her energy which she has plenty nowadays. It's really hard to keep up with her now as she is super super hyper and to think she is a girl.

Fun time at United Square

We went for dinner at United Square. Have a sumptuous dinner at Soup Resturant. Our little princess enjoyed the food and so did her paternal grandmother aka my mil. After dinner, we decided to walk around the mall and realised that there is a Dora the Explorer Roadshow and the central stage area was packed with children and parents taking pictures and all. However, Sabrina does not seem interested in Dora so we decided to hit on the kiddy rides at the mall. Took so many pictures of her in actions and with the adults (myself, hubby and mil).

Anyway after the rides, we went to the 2nd floor, I think and there was a patch where a projector is projecting some fishes swimming on the patch from the ceiling. We then put Sabrina down onto the floor and let her join in the fun as there were many kids playing there as well. They were mostly older than her but that did not stop her from running around after a while. But the initial stage, she just stood rooted to the ground and stared at the fast-swimming fishes on the floor. Slowly she moved to be with the crowd. Another girl, probably 4 or 5 years old, wanted to hold Sabrina's hand but she did not want and cross her arms but not without flashing the jie jie a big checcky smile. I bet she enjoyed herself thoroughly just now. Will being her there often for her to mingle with kids. Meanwhile check out all her pictures in this slideshow.

21 month old today

Time flies. Sabrina is already 21months old today. Guess she has really grown into a pretty little girl. I can still remember the time when I was told by someone close that she looks like a boy. I was so angry back then. I chose to ignore him. By and by our little baby has grown. Now with her long hair, I enjoy tying her hair nowdays when we go out and at times we get complimented that her hair is tied very nicely and neatly. Hahaha...Mummy's the neatness freak I suppose.

At the MRT station

We decided to have dinner at QiJi at Kovan. By the time we finished our meal, it was already 8.30pm, so we just walked around Heartland Mall and Cold storage. Here are some pictures of Daddy and Little Monster Baby.

She was trying to do her Peek-a-Boo.

She was trying to escape from Adrian's arms.
